Saving and organizing
Links, notes and files; folders, tags, the reading list and collections.
What you can save
- Links: any web page. FAVORY keeps its title, description and image, and can keep a clean reader copy.
- Notes: text of your own, with Markdown.
- Files: images and PDFs up to 25 MB. The text inside them becomes searchable: a PDF's text right away, and scans and images through text recognition (OCR).
Folders, categories and tags
Categories group folders in the sidebar and have a color and an icon. Folders can be nested. Tags work across folders: add them while saving or later, and filter any list by a tag.
The reading list
Put anything on the reading list to read it later: from a bookmark's menu, with the L key, or in bulk. When you finish an article in the reader, Done reading takes it off the list.
Collections
A collection gathers bookmarks from any folder. Keep it private, make it public with a link, or invite friends: viewers can read it, editors can add their own bookmarks.
Rules
Rules act on what you save, automatically: tag, move or archive a bookmark by its address, site, title or where it came from. Find them in Settings.
Import and export
Bring your bookmarks from your browser (bookmark HTML), from OPML, and from the export files of other read-later apps; folders, tags and notes come along. Export everything as bookmark HTML, OPML or JSON whenever you like.
